Fabi here. Youth worker at Chalet Kent. As mentioned in another article, one of my goals here is to encourage youth to express themselves through writing. Whether of a reflective, poetic, journalistic or literary nature, writing allows us to do introspective work that oral expression cannot do in depth. In addition, the writing makes it possible to immortalize both the moment and the maturity of the expression, as well as its evolution. And it offers itself in an intimate way, in the silent reading of a private audience. It is for these reasons that I myself enjoy reading and writing, and would like to see more youth being read by the public. I would like them to express themselves authentically, say what they think, what they feel, what they see, what they imagine.

Of the many things I could tell you today....

Of the many things I could say to you today
I choose to say that I love you,
I could say that your smile brightened in a different way,
because you woke up a little happier today and your eyes, for a few moments that I looked at them,
looked like the sky:
infinite
Making me think that I could travel for years in them
and every second
and I would find them more incredible, just like you.
I could also say
that we are on the same frequency
the tune of a radio,
finding the perfect music,
which is exactly the same music that reminds me of you,
I'm skimming over the words that I could say to you...
But today I choose to tell you that I love you.
And even if my eyes could
I would lack words to write with perfection the feeling that arises inside me
when your hand touches mine
and your eyes meet mine...
Everything falls apart and is reborn as quickly as you crack a smile off my face
and today
I choose to say I love you
because yesterday I chose to love you
and I love
a little more than yesterday
a lot less than tomorrow

Das muitas coisas que eu poderia te dizer hoje,
eu escolhi dizer que eu te amo,
poderia dizer que o seu sorriso brilhou de um jeito diferente,
porquê você acordou um pouco mais feliz hoje e os seus olhos por alguns estantes que eu os olhei,
ficaram parencendo como o céu:
infinitos
Me fazendo pensar que eu poderia viajar por anos dentro deles
e a cada segundos
e eu os acharia mais incríveis, assim como você.
Também poderia dizer
que nos estamos na mesma frequência
a sintonia de um radio,
encontrando a música perfeita,
que é exatamente a mesma música que me faz lembrar de você,
eu estou escolhendo as palavras que eu poderia te dizer...
Mais hoje eu escolhi te dizer que te amo.
